Bio.

Derek graduated from Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario, with a diploma in Business Management. During his youth, he was heavily involved in high-level sports, playing Junior A Hockey for four years. After college, he decided to pursue a career as a golf professional, working at The Royal Montreal Golf Club from 2001 to 2007. There, he taught and competed on the Quebec PGA Tour.

In 2007, Derek transitioned into Transportation and Logistics, starting as an Account Manager with Canadian National Railroad, marking the beginning of his transportation career. Over the years, he honed his management and sales skills, completing the Canadian Professional Sales Association Program and McGill's Executive Management Program.

In 2014, Derek joined Canadian Pacific Railroad as Director of Sales and was later promoted to Assistant Vice President of North America. 

Derek is married and a father of two. He values family time, especially as his wife and children are all very active in sports.
